The Clay of Youth
I took a piece of plastic clay, and idly fashioned it one day, and as my fingers pressed i,t still it bent and yielded to my will (Jan Kim, Jansen and Jan Dale)
I come again when day were past (Jan Kim, Jansen and Jan Dale) the bit of clay was hard at last (Jan Kim, Jansen and Jan Dale) its early impress still it bore, but I could change the form no more (Jan Kim, Jansen and Jan Dale) I took a piece of living clay and gently formed it day by day I molded it with power and art. A boy soft and yielding heart, I come again when years were gone (Jan Kim, Jansen and Jan Dale) . It was a man I looked upon, my early impress still it bore, but I could not change him anymore…
